Celebrate Teen Read Week, Oct. 18-23

Happy TEEN READ WEEK!

Teen Read Week, launched by YALSA (Young Adult Library Services Association) in 1998, encourages teens nation-wide to read for pleasure, partake in programs aimed at their age group, and take advantage of free library materials.

This Year's theme: Books with Beat! Visit our special display next to the staircase, which is stocked with cool books sporting this "CHECK ME OUT" bookmark. Check out any of these titles, like the bookmark says, and you’ll receive a FREE PRIZE at the circulation desk. This goes for our Freeman and Rand branches too!

Remember, reading is free, fun, and can be done anywhere! It's also a great way to show both your school and the Library that you support and enjoy teen services. The Library is stocked with poetry, audiobooks, graphic novels, fiction, music, nonfiction, magazines and movies that have been carefully chosen by our librarians and suggested by teens like you. So, make sure you stop in and take advantage of this nation-wide week in YOUR honor.

Hey Teens and Tweens,

What are you reading? Did you check out any books from the display? Leave us your comments...and go!
