Scavenger Hunt Winners... For Real This Time!

At last, the results are in and they've been captured on video (after some technical difficulties and a couple takes!) As you all know, the Library held a town-wide digital camera scavenger hunt from June 1 - July 15th, as part of our "Scare up a Good Book!" Summer Reading Program.

10 out of 16 teams of all ages successfully completed our paranormal challenge. The photos from each team can be seen on our flickr account here.

Congratulations!

• Cemetery Stompers won a gift basket from Whole Foods in Palatine
• Team R.L. Stine won a free baked pie from Bakers Square in Palatine
• Clan Lycanthropos also won a free baked pie from Bakers Square

The "Best-Themed Team" Award goes to The Flip Flop Ghosts. Both of these pro flip-floppers will receive a copy of the latest version of "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark." Perfect for sleepovers!

• The Radioactive Witches and Wizards received an honorable mention and each member will take home a new book.

Members of all finishing teams can visit the Reader Assistance Desk on the first floor of the Main Library to pick up a "Scare up a Good Book!" pin.
