"I, for one, loved the New Moon movie. It was hands down better than the first. They improved so many things that the first director messed up on. Like their eyes. In the first movie, you couldn't tell about the eye color. In this movie, you totally could tell. And the whole sparkle thing? That was better too. They didn't look like they were just some sweating undead people. It was soo much better. I really loved it."

That seems to be the general consensus. Hopefully that means the next one will be even better!
... maybe. i think they can get an even BIGGER following just by following the text more closely next time. I don't think we need more and more effects.
Yes, I agree--better special effects don't necessary translate into a better movie. It still needs a compelling story and characters.
Very true. I have seen many second or third movies that, even with their larger budgets and popularity, have turned out to be flops. Ex: X-Men: The Last Stand. This also may be just my personal opinion, haha.
i totally agree that New Moon was wayy better than the first movie. I think they had a bigger budget for this movie that the last one. i loved the scene that took place in Italy.
